Last step to clean up my room? The floors and walls. On the floor, I have slightly aging vitrified parquet. But that I still love very much. It's oak, the color is warm. Today, to carry out my household tasks, I will need: a vacuum cleaner, black soap, a bucket, a mop, a broom.

Dust the walls

My walls are not very dirty - it turns out that we did the painting and the tapestry a few months ago. Deep leaching is therefore not yet necessary. But a good dusting would not be luxury!
And for that, I take out my vacuum cleaner.
Simple and efficient. If you are going into a big wash - only possible if you have a washable wallpaper - be sure to start with the dusting step no matter what!

Store under my bed ...

Now that my vacuum cleaner is out, I am about to dust the floor. Except that I realize that accumulating vacuum storage under my bed is not the idea of the century.
Inaccessible to the vacuum cleaner, the dust flows smoothly between my accumulated storage… Not very satisfactory! So, I set out to take out these vacuum storage units to find them a much more suitable and less dusty place on the top floor of my wardrobe, an empty floor because it is difficult to access. Ideal place for storage that I only take out every six months!

Clean the parquet

After decluttering, cleaning! I start by vacuuming - goodbye the sheep swarming under the bed! And now the magic ingredient: black soap!
It is not recommended to use too stripping things on a vitrified parquet. However, black soap is natural and full of oils - olive, flax, etc. - which will not fail to do the greatest good to my parquet! I add two tablespoons of black soap to 5 liters of hot water. I dip my mop in my mixture, I wring the mop out well - do not wet the parquet too much.
The before / after speaks for itself, the color of my parquet is revived! Because of the unplanned congestion, it took me just over 25 minutes to get everything done today.

What you must remember

Know what type of upholstery you have before embarking on a wash. Washable wallpaper can be cleaned with soapy water while non-washable wallpaper cannot withstand humidity. Do not collect things under your bed. It will be a dust nest! If you need additional storage space, invest in storage for beds designed for. Black soap is magic! It will serve you everything at home and on the parquet, it is perfect, nourishing the wood. And tomorrow ? We change rooms and we declutter and sort the living room.
