The foam ribs are made by alternating a row with a succession of knit stitches and wrong side, then a row composed only of knit stitches. Row 1: alternately knit four stitches, then knit four. Row 2: knit only stitches. Next rows: continue as above, alternating a row where you knit four stitches, then four stitches backwards and a row where you knit all stitches.
